About
Kevin Clark, Ph.D. holds a bachelors and masters degree in computer science from North Carolina State University, and a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Clark is currently an associate professor of Instructional Technology, and director of the Center for Digital Media Innovation and Diversity at George Mason University. Prior to his work in academia, Kevin worked as a designer and senior program manager for educational software and interactive media company Lightspan, Inc. (now Plato Learning).
Dr. Clark's research interests include the role of video games and interactive media in education; particularly diverse and traditionally underserved populations. His recent scholarly activities focus on the use of video game design to increase interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers. Dr. Clark’s current project has been featured in the George Lucas Educational Foundation’s Digital Generation project.
